Bythynnod Felinfach Cottages are
a stunning but sensitive conversion of a Water Mill,
Grain Store and Barn set in a courtyard setting.
Prior to 2002, Felinfach was a working sheep and
dairy farm set in 40 acres of land. In 2002 milking
ceased on the farm and work began on the conversion
of the Mill and Grain Store building into self-catering
holiday accommodation after having secured planning
permission in 2001.
We were fortunate to be awarded a grant from the
Wales Tourist Board (WTB) which helped cover part
of the costs. The conversion took just under a year
to complete and we opened for our first guests in
April 2003.
In 2002 we were also successful in obtaining planning
permission for the conversion of the remaining large
barn into a cottage. Work started in September 2004
and was completed in May 2005 when we welcomed our
first guests to the ‘Old Barn’. |
